Hello Golden Gate Navioneers;                                                                       Mar. 15, 2002

The March Fly in at Santa Rosa was attended by 32 members and guests who enjoyed beautiful sunshine and fine food though it was a little slow in coming. We had 8 or 9 Navions and 2 other Airplanes, plus cars.

Our next Fly in is on  SATURDAY APRIL 13TH, 2002  AT AMADOR COUNTY / WESTOVER (O70) . listed under Jackson.  Please arrive by 11:30 a.m. Some of our members will have cars to transport us into Sutter Creek (about 2 miles) where we will have lunch at Bellotti's restaurant which is at 53 main street. They  limit the menu for groups to 3 items so I chose Hamburgers, Ravioli and a salad but if anyone wants something else I am sure they can get it. This is an old gold mining town with  the usual tourist traps.

Advance notice of our overnight fly in on SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MAY 18TH AND 19TH AT CARSON CITY, NEVADA (CXP). Overnight tiedown  is $3.00  at L.L. Arrow but the fee is waived if you buy gas. We have reserved a block of  10 rooms at the Best Western Pinion Plaza Resort. They have a shuttle to the airport. It is a big place with 3 restaurants, a casino, bowling Alley, exercise room etc.  The rooms are $81.00 plus tax and RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE BY APRIL 19TH. Cancellations can be made up until 72 hours before scheduled arrival. The phone number is (877) 519-5567. Tell them you are with the Golden Gate Navioneers. NOTE !  This will be your last notice to make reservations on time since the next news letter will not be sent until after April 19th.  All the good hotels in town are all booked up. We will have a get together for dinner. It should be a fun trip.

Our new member Bill Putney  made a web site for our chapter. For those who have internet service you can look at it on www.navioneer.org/GGNavioneers.html. or go to his web site www.navioneer.org and the click on the GGNavioneers.html link. He presently has the pictures of the christmas party and the Santa Rosa fly in showing. He will publish the news letters and pictures as he receives them.
